Toilet Bowl Cleaning Tips by House Cleaning Round Rock

House Cleaning services seem tempting, we agree with that. However, considering the hike in manual labor services, these might get quite expensive. Got a budget for that? Good for you! Unfortunately, for some, relying on housekeepers to do the House Cleaning seems to be the least to come to mind. Think about expenses!

We, at House Cleaning Round Rock, would attest that amongst all the areas of the house, the bathroom would be the toughest to clean. The dirtiest? Our toilet bowls.

Worry no more! House Cleaning Round Rock compiled some tips on how to clean toilet bowls effectively.

Toilet Bowl Cleaning Tips:

Using Coke

There are a lot of practical uses for Coca-Cola in House Cleaning. Our all-time favorite soda isn’t just perfect when paired with a slice of our favorite pizza, it also does wonders in our house.. yes, even toilet bowls.

Just pour it along the edges of your toilet bowl and let the carbonation of Coke work its magic overnight. This fizzy soda contains a generous amount of acids strong enough to dissolve rust. Wake up the next morning, ready to flush that fizz, and witness how your toilet bowl will look good as when you first bought it.

Using Baking Soda and Vinegar

If House Cleaning products had a competition, House Cleaning Round Rock would probably bet on these two as the most useful.

What you need to do is to pour approximately a cup of white vinegar into the toilet bowl. Let it sit for a minute, then add a cup of baking soda. If needed, add more vinegar to get the same fizz you had with the Coke hack. Let it sit for 30 minutes or more, depending on how bad your toilet bowl looks.

While waiting, scrub the stains that are still visible making sure the solution reaches it. You may use an extra stiff toilet brush for stubborn stains if a normal toilet brush won’t work. Brush and flush!

Using Magic Eraser

This will probably be the easiest House Cleaning tip.

If you are a person obsessed with cleanliness and House Cleaning itself, you probably heard about this magical product. Magic Eraser is a sponge made from melamine foam and acts as super-fine sandpapers. It also absorbs dirt and grime.

After your last pee tonight before bedtime, toss in a piece of this magic sponge into your toilet bowl and let it sit overnight. Of course, you won’t be able to flush it the next morning because of its size and buoyancy. So, you have to remove it by hand. Fortunately, your extra piece of Magic Eraser can stay in your toilet tank for an added filter.

To sum it up, the build-up of hard water stains and germs are merely caused by not cleaning your bathroom regularly. House Cleaning at least once a week would be the best way to prevent stains becoming so difficult to remove.

Happy Housekeeping!
